Incorporated as a not-for-profit foundation in 1971, with its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, the Forum is tied to no political, partisan or national interests.

As Media Associate, you will be responsible for media operations and website management. You will be part of the Forum's global communications team and report to the Senior Media Manager in the Beijing Office. You will deal with daily media enquiries in China and manage press events. You will also work closely with the Forum's website team in Geneva to develop the online presence of our multiple activities on Chinese online platforms and localize them for the Chinese audience.

Duties and responsibilities
  •     Cultivate relationships with Chinese media
  •     Maintain and update the media database
  •     Act as the primary contact point to the Chinese media and collect and disseminate timely information
  •     Manage press conferences, interviews, press kits, etc.
  •     Promote, engage and coordinate the Chinese media in all of the Forum activities (annual meetings, regional summits, initiatives), especially the Annual Meeting of the New Champions, by providing the necessary logistical and administrative support
  •     Prepare and proofread media material for Chinese audiences
  •     Manage the Forum's Chinese website on both the technical and content sides
  •     Maintain the Forum's social media platforms (blog, Weibo, WeChat, Youku, etc.) on a daily basis

Qualifications and skills
  •     Perfectly bilingual in Chinese and English (written and oral)
  •     University degree in languages, journalism, communications or public relations
  •     Strong writing and editing skills
  •     Experience with and interest in Chinese social media applications; knowledge of Drupal web management system is a plus
  •     Highly organized and able to multitask
