About the Job:
HOPE International is seeking an Internal Auditor. S/he will conduct audits in compliance with the Institute of Internal Auditors Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (SPPIA), the organization'€™s audit policies and procedures, and the organization'€™s internal operating policies and procedures.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Organizing and implementing the annual audit plan;
- Performs audit procedures including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting processes and procedures;
- Conducts interviews, reviews documents, and prepares working papers;
- Analyzing data obtained for evidence of deficiencies in internal controls, duplication of effort, extravagance, fraud, and management policies or procedures;
- Reporting and communicating audit results;
- Oral communication and debriefing with internal audit director, branch staff, and management in a clear and concise manner;
- Identifies, develops, and documents audit issues and recommendations in audit report;
- Finalizes the audit report with director of internal audit;
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Professional certification including Certified Public Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor and Undergraduate/Graduate Degree in a relevant field;
- At least 1-2 years of accounting, external audit, or internal audit experience or an equivalent combination of audit and management positions in microfinance and/or financial services covering business analysis, operations, and finance;
- Experience in non-profit, humanitarian, or other ministry work;
- Considerable skill in effective verbal and written communications, including active listening skills and skills in presenting findings and recommendations;
- Language : Fluent Mandarin and advanced English;
- Conducts work in an ethical manner and accepts responsibility for work assigned, with a commitment for excellence and achievement of results in a timely and cost effective manner;
- Exercises professional judgment and critically analyses information and audit results.
