Serving a global client portfolio of multinational companies, they manufacture, sell and market innovative products, solutions and services to industrial, engineering, automotive and manufacturing companies.  As part of their continuing expansion plan, they have created a new position for a high calibre finance executive to work as a business partner to the management team.

Reporting directly to the CFO, Asia Pacific, this role will lead the finance team for the China business.  As part of the finance transformation journey, you will help review the current processes in place and work with the business to streamline procedures, tighten controls and compliance and build stronger bench-strength across the whole finance department.  You will also work at a strategic level to support the future direction of the China business, support on M&A activities and manage the integration of post-mergers.  In addition, you will manage any strategic projects the business may face, such as the forthcoming SAP implementation project.   This is a key role to manage the China business plan, the budgets, forecasts and long-term strategic business reviews.

Suitable candidates will be qualified finance professionals with 12-15 years of experience in another blue chip multinational manufacturing company.  You are likely to be a hi-potential/high flyer in your organisation and have a proven background of internal promotions during your tenure with the business.  You will demonstrate executive presence and the gravitas to business partner the management team and not be afraid to voice opinions and make recommendations for the business.  In addition, you will be commercially astute, and able to influence effectively and engage others in collaboration and align expectations and corporate goals.  This role will suit a Chinese returnee who has spent some time immersed in the US culture and is now back in China or an Asian national that has good hands-on experience of working in China.  A native level of communicating in English is imperative as is fluency in Mandarin.
