About the Job:
PFC is seeking Microfinance Junior Consultant(s) to be staffed on to projects that are currently being implemented in consulting and technical assistance to Chinese banks and MFIs.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Exposure to consulting and technical assistance to banks and MFIs;
- Exposure to training bank/MFI staff, conducting risk assessments, developing microfinance lending methodologies, and setting up and developing microfinance operations of clients;
- Support the team in project tasks such as coordination, research, report writing, and translation of various documents (both, Chinese to English and English to Chinese);
- Provide support to local and international experts.
Qualifications:
- University degree, preferably in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Business related field;
- Previous work experience of 1-2 years is preferable;
- Fluent Chinese (English fluency a plus, but not required);
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to deliver consulting assignments;
- Interest in poverty alleviation, microfinance, and China’s development;
- Highly analytical, responsible, motivated, and able to work independently;
- Communication skills and teamwork skills;
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.
