The Vice Presidency for Concessional Finance and Global Partnerships (CFP) is responsible for the
mobilization, management and monitoring of concessional loan and grant financing in the World Bank. The four Departments in CFP are

(i) the Global Partnership and Trust Fund Operations Department (CFPTO); the Multilateral Trusteeship and Innovative Financing (CFPMI) Department; the IDA Resource Mobilization Department (CFPIR); and the Financial Management Unit (CFPFM).
CFPTO leads the development of Bank policies and procedures on global partnerships and trust funds (TFs), and manages programmatic TFs and the Development Grant Facility. The Department is the Bank's focal point for TF policy development, guidance on partnership and TF related issues, portfolio monitoring and review, and clearance of new trust funded partnerships. CFPTO is leading an ambitious program of TF reforms to mainstream TFs into Bank work, modernize and streamline TF procedures, and focus on results. The Department is also heavily engaged in donor relations, delivery of knowledge and learning products, and in the development a partnership management framework.
Within CFPTO, there are five cluster teams involving the following work:
(i) TF Policy and Advisory Services,
(ii) Global Partnerships,
(iii) Data and Reporting,
(iv) Donor Relations, and
(v) Program Administration of four programmatic TFs (PHRD, JSDF, AHI, and BNPP) and the Development Grant Facility (DGF). The Data and Reporting Cluster in CFPTO is leading the development of new operational reporting tools for partnerships and TFs. The Data and Reporting Cluster team generates and disseminating regularly scheduled and ad-hoc reports on partnerships and TFs, covering the World Bank Group's TF portfolio. Selected parts of the Data and Reporting cluster's work program are handled through the offshore unit of CFPTO in Chennai, India.
Note: If the selected candidate is a current Bank Group staff member with a Regular or Open-Ended appointment, s/he will retain his/her Regular or Open-Ended appointment. All others will be offered a 2 year term appointment.

Duties and Accountabilities:
- The Business Process Analyst will report to the Manager of the CFPTO, but work under the guidance of the Data and Reporting Cluster Coordinator in charge data integrity, systems development and trust fund reporting.
- S/He will need to work independently and will be accountable for a broad range of responsibilities, in the area of reporting, data analysis and systems development. S/He will work closely with clients, business analysts, and application developers to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions. S/He will be responsible for leading the collection, analysis, documentation and coordination of a client's business requirements. The following: Duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Analyze new application releases/versions or upgrades/enhancements of existing applications and assists in process improvement, process analysis and design, process implementation and continuous improvement. Develops plans to transition to new processes, taking into account organizational, cultural and operational requirements.
- Establish liaison relationship with other business partners in developing new applications. Work with customers to understand and anticipate business requirements and analyzes and document s requirements.
- Review all requirements for accuracy and investigates, resolves and escalates problems.
- Develop Business Objects Queries/Reports over BW/Oracle universes for CFPTO clients, both internal and external. Prepare/Develop presentations using Live office technologies.
- Design, plan and prepare test scripts and test documentation for new reports in SAP/BW/BI and conduct system testing together with the business users, and document gaps. Interface with other test teams to incorporate plans into integration testing process.
- Ensure correct and comprehensive feed of trust fund and partnerships data to reports through BI ,BW, SAP etc; Provide support to Management, internal and external users of CFP-managed reporting tools e.g. by investigating, resolving and/or escalating problems, manage customer expectations and identify opportunities that may impact reporting requirements and performance;
- Work closely with business partners in order to provide technical solutions and to understand and anticipate reporting and application requirements.
- Analyze business work flows to address business needs. Function as the liaison between the business users and the technical team for selected applications and reports.
- Provide support in the preparation of user help documentation and other help materials for above mentioned reporting tools, updating web pages etc
Selection Criteria:
- BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management or other relevant discipline and minimum 2 years of relevant experience. MS/MA in a relevant discipline is preferred.
- Understanding and familiarity with the Bank's businesses and products, in particular trust funds and concessional financing, Knowledge of financial and operational risk management aspects of the trust fund business will be a plus;
- Proven technical and analytical skills from previous professional experience and/or academic background, including ability to analyze and report on complex data in a timely manner. Ability to present issues, trends and conclusions in a concise and clear manner;
- Ability to conduct independent research and analysis on Trust Fund related issues, formulating opinions, reaching conclusions, submitting recommendations and persuading superiors and colleagues on outcomes.
- Excellent knowledge of the SAP architecture and available functionality is required; experience in working on complex system development projects is desirable;
- High level of proficiency in working with MS Excel and PowerPoint is required, experience of other reporting tools such as Access, Business Objects, BW or Data Warehouse reporting etc is highly desirable;
- Demonstrated ability to participate in high-performance teams in non-hierarchical, networked settings;
- Excellent command of English and good communication skills required.
- Experience in the provision of training in a formal setting is a plus.
