About Our Client
Our client is a US investment firm with approximately US$2 billion of assets under management. It has invested successfully and consistently in Asia for twelve years, focusing on debt investments. It operates in six major offices located in Hong Kong, Singapore, Mumbai, Seoul, Beijing and New York. Our client is now expanding its China investment platform and will be setting up a new office in Chongqing. It is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller in China to manage all aspects of onshore finances, accounting, taxation and day-to-day operations.
Job Description
This role will report to the Asia CFO based in Hong Kong and work closely with the Vice President of Finance based in Singapore. The Financial Controller is responsible for overall preparation and management of all aspects of Finance, Audit, Taxation, Loan Administration, Corporate Statutory Reporting and Regulatory Filings in compliance with local rules and regulations. As this is a new platform in Chongqing, the Financial Controller is also responsible for the day-to-day operational matters. Occasional travel to main cities is required.
The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant shall be have a good degree with relevant accounting or business qualification, membership of a recognized accounting profession is an advantage. You shall possess sound knowledge in Chinese accounting standards required, ability to manage daily operations with an attention to detail. You should be well-versed with monthly reporting, budgeting , external auditing , tax and regulatory filings and have an ability to multi-task. As this is a new platform, you will need to be highly motivated, self starting, hands-on and flexible, with good verbal & written communication skills.
